Rueda de Casino is all about energy, connection, and rhythm! In this exciting group dance that originated in Cuba and is traditionally danced in a circle, the couples execute figures simultaneously and change partners and positions to the beats of Salsa. This offers a great opportunity to learn new moves, interact with others, or just have a fun time together on the dance floor. Whether you want to master the fundamentals or are looking to add some flair, this class will help you take your skills to the next level! Example: https://youtu.be/yS58jwxQPFg
Participants will learn the basic steps and most common calls of Cuban Salsa and Rueda de Casino, including partner changes, simple turns, and playful figures. Previous dance experience or knowledge of linear Salsa, e.g. as taught in other HSP courses, are helpful but not required. If possible, it would be nice if you already bring a partner. However, you can also come alone and quickly get to know other people. Clothing/Shoes: Just wear some casual, preferably sporty clothes in which you feel comfortable and can move well. As for shoes, normal sneakers or dance shoes are suitable. The gymnastics hall may only be entered with clean indoor shoes.
Since the contents of the course are progressive, regular attendance is advisable. The A1 course is aimed at beginners and is generally open to new students at any time. The A2 course follows directly after it and is open to participants who have already successfully completed the A1 course or who are highly motivated and wish to take both courses in parallel. Come join the circle and let's dance together! We're looking forward to seeing you!
